Construction and purpose of the Alpine Wall fortifications between Strane and Varda.

You are invited to a lecture on the origin, purpose, and construction of the defensive structures of the Alpine Wall on the eastern edge of the Postojna Basin, which will be presented by Grega Žorž.

The lecture will, in light of archival materials from various institutions, shed light on the role of these fortifications in the historical context of the interwar and wartime periods, and present their heritage and potential.
