Guided walk to Lake Petelinje - Outdoor festival 2026

Living with Nature Outdoor Festival will take place from 5 to 7 June 2026 at the Park of Military History, bringing together nature enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers, and everyone seeking authentic experiences.

On Saturday, 6 June, the Pivka Tourism Institute will join the festival programme with guided tours, walks, and a cycling excursion, offering visitors the opportunity to discover the secrets of large carnivores, seasonal lakes, and the rich natural heritage of the Pivka region.

Walk to Petelinje Lake

• 11:30–13:00
• Starting point: Ecomuseum of the Seasonal Lakes of Pivka, Slovenska vas 10, Pivka

Accompanied by a local guide, you will walk to Petelinje Lake, the second-largest seasonal lake in the Pivka area. During the guided walk, you will enjoy beautiful views of Holy Trinity Hill while learning about the characteristics of the karst landscape, fascinating stories from the local area, and the unique features of the seasonal lakes that shape the distinctive character of this region.
