Moon Walk

Would you like to walk on the moon? We can't make it possible for you, but it's true that the bottom of the dried-up Lake Cerknica looks quite similar.

On this experience, you will:

• explore the bottom of the dried-up Lake Cerknica,
• learn about the Rešeto sinkhole system,
• discover "craters" - sinkholes and ponors, where water flows underground,
• learn about plants and animals adapted to the unique lake environment,
• listen to stories about the largest intermittent lake in Slovenia.

• Meeting point: Dolenje Jezero, in front of Visitor Center Lake Cerknica (Dolenje Jezero 68)
