Loška dolina Heritage Trail

This traditional autumn walk showcases the rich natural and cultural heritage of the villages that lie at the foot of Mt. Snežnik. Following a circular route that links the area’s best-known landmarks, the trail passes through picturesque villages, across karst meadows and near the edge of the vast Notranjska forests.
Suitable for all generations and a range of fitness levels, there are two route options. The longer, 21-kilometre one takes approximately six hours to complete, while the shorter, 11-kilometre route can be walked in around three hours. Both routes are undemanding and well-marked.
Follow the Loška Dolina Heritage Trail independently or join a local guide, who will bring the landscape to life with stories and interesting facts about the local history. Visitors to the Loška Dolina are rewarded with unspoilt nature, breathtaking scenery and the warm hospitality of its people.
