Carnival has come to Ilirska Bistrica

In the Ilirska Bistrica valley, the customs associated with Carnival have always been an important annual event. Some ethnological masks have been preserved to this day thanks to the dedicated local residents and are known throughout Slovenia and beyond.
Pust v Cerknici

Vrhunec pustnega dogajanja v Cerknici je običajno po petkovem in sobotnem zabavnem pustnem rajanju ter sobotni otroški maškaradi s coprnicami nedeljski pustni karneval, ki se vselej začne "točno okoli 12.32". Predstavijo se vse znamenite cerkniške maske, od coprnice Uršule s Slivnice do zmaja Jezerka iz Cerkniškega jezera, po novem pa tudi Butalska čebela z rojem drugih čebel.
