A Close Encounter with Horses
Look into a horse’s eyes and experience its quiet strength. At the Volk Organic Farm, you’ll meet a herd of colourful Appaloosa horses, renowned for their gentle temperament. Due to their colourful coats, Native American tribes believed these horses possessed magical powers.
During your visit, you’ll observe the horses’ behaviour and learn to recognise the basics of equine body language. Experiencing both their sensitivity and their strength will give you a deeper understanding of how horses respond to people and their surroundings.
One of the highlights of the experience is riding bareback in the riding arena under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Without the barrier of a saddle, you’ll feel the horse’s movement in a completely different way, creating an authentic, safe and respectful connection between horse and rider.

What to bring: comfortable clothing and sturdy walking shoes
Optional extra: from June to August you can also stay overnight on the farm – sleeping on hay, in a tent or in a cosy wooden cabin beside the stream.
