Cave under Predjama Castle
A mysterious cave explored with flahslights.
The second longest tourist cave in Slovenia stretches under the picturesque Predjama Castle. Cave under Predjama Castle winds through four levels connected by mysterious tunnels. The tunnels are more than 14 kilometres long, witha 700-metre section open to visitors.
On a 45-minute guided tour and equipped with a battery-powered torch you discover the sites where archaeological remains from the Stone Age and the Roman Age were found, as well as visitors' signatures dating back to the 16th century.
Due to its location and constant temperature, the cave is home to many colonies of bats in winter, so it is closed to visitor during hibernation period.
