Sonja Prosen uses natural materials she creates Floral Stories – distinctive images and portraits of women in which nature, imagination, and a sense of beauty intertwine.

Sonja's creative process begins outdoors. She finds inspiration and material in her own garden and on walks through the surrounding countryside. Without any gluing or drawing, she arranges fresh plants into a floral composition and photographs it. The flowers, leaves, and other natural materials are then returned to nature. What remains is a photograph – a captured moment that can live on as an art print, a card, or another product.

Most often she creates floral ladies – portraits of women made from plants, each charming and distinctive in its own way. Her work invites a slower way of observing nature: stopping, noticing details, and creating something new from your own impressions.

Floral Stories can also be experienced firsthand. At a floral workshop, you set out on a walk with Sonja, get to know the place and its local plants, and then try your hand at creating your own floral composition.
