Postojna Cave
Enter the most visited tourist karst cave in Europe and one of the world's greatest natural attractions. Take a 3.7km ride through the cave with its legendary underground train.
A guided tour, which takes approx. one and a half hour, covers more than 5km of underground routes. Along the way, you'll discover underground karst wonders, such as a 5m high stalagmite Brilliant, which is considered the symbol of the cave.
The world's oldest underground post office was opened in 1899 and you can still send a postcard with a cave postmark here.
A special experience is also the encounter with the olm – a mysterious inhabitant of the underground world.
Postojna Cave has been visited by almost 40 million people. It has been open to visitors for more than 200 years, making it one of the pioneers of world tourism.
